ICMR’s Associate Director, Datin Hajah Aida Jaslina Jalaludin was invited by the Private Pensions Administrator of Malaysia (PPA) to present some of ICMR’s research findings at the I Save In PRS Treats Campaign launch, which was held on 3rd November 2025.

Her presentation, titled “Retirement Crisis in Malaysia”, touched on Malaysia’s looming retirement crisis, which is due to rapid ageing, low fertility, and rising life expectancy. In addition to this, Aida discussed the shifting landscape and how economic shifts, gig work, and behavioural biases complicate retirement planning. However, it is not all doom and gloom. A time-sensitive opportunity exists to harness demographic dividends through inclusive policies, financial literacy, and capital market support to ensure sustainable, equitable retirement outcomes.
